Hi, I am trying to research my lamp, it says "the rochester" on the top part, its around 52 inches high, and I took it to a local antique dealer, and he told me it was a piano lamp, and the shade was worth about 75.00 dollars and called a dew drop shade, and the lamp was worth about the same, about 75.00. I asked him where it was made and he said it wasnt that old, but he would buy it for the $150.00. So I have been all over the internet and i found an article on the rochester lamps, whom started the business and whom ended up with it. But didnt say much more. Can you possibly tell me anymore about my lamp? Thank you for your time and consideration. carol

I am not an expert, but I did a search on the Worthopedia, Worthpoint's database of closed auction results, where I found several victorian (1840-1910) piano lamps with their matching pictures and prices. Check this link. I hope you find this information helpful.

I also did a search online and found other piano lamps, not quiet like yours, but I thought this will give you an idea of the worth of yours.
Here is the link.
